Who We Are

Stephen Lieschke and Jay Weatherill established Lieschke & Weatherill lawyers in 1995.

Jay Weatherill went on to become a Minister in the South Australia State Government and then the Premier of South Australia.

Stephen Lieschke now serves as a Deputy President of the South Australia Employment Tribunal.

Lieschke & Weatherill Lawyers was then led by Steven Dolphin, who started his working life as a scaffolder. Later retraining as a lawyer, he is now the President of the South Australia Employment Tribunal.

Since 2015, Lieschke & Weatherill Lawyers has been led by Michael Ats.

Before joining Lieschke & Weatherill Lawyers, Michael worked for a Union and advised the South Australian Government. Michael joined Lieschke & Weatherill lawyers in 2006. Michael has taught employment law at Flinders University.

Lieschke & Weatherill acts exclusively for workers, Unions and injured people.
